I met my niece, or something like my niece. She's probably something like my 3rd or 4th cousin. I can't be bothered working out what her actual relationship with me is.

Anyway, she's 12 and me and my friend are bringing her Christmas shopping on Monday. We'll bring her to Belfast, and I'm kinda looking forward to it. I need to get some Christmas shopping of my own, and I've missed having the chance to babysit since I moved here. She seems nice. It's always nice to find relations who I get on with.

For some reason I'm a lot better with kids than I am with adults. I think it's because I'm very immature myself. I'm good at playing, and amusing them I just can't do discipline, or saying no to them :laugh:

When I was a kid I was better at talking to older kids or adults. Kids my own age were hard to relate to or be serious with. I sort of wish I had younger siblings so then I would know how to cope with younger people.

I wonder if you will buy your cousin/niece something if she asks as you have difficulty saying no. ;)
