My Mum had her vein mapping done at the hospital today. Her latest blood panel shows that her kidney function is up to 35%!!!!! *eek* That's bloody well good news. It means the body is repairing some of the damage on its own so they're not going to do anything right now, including the dialysis so that they can see how well she does on her own. They've got everything prepped so that should she take a turn in the other direction again, they can insert the two shunts and get the dialysis started. But for right now, she just keeps being monitored every 2 weeks and hopefully she either stays steady or increases her kidney function. Excellent news.  :thumbup:
