Crazy, I'm halfway to crazy
Suicide would waste me
Homicide would break me
Tongue tied and tied to the tongue
Tongue tied and tied to the tongue
Oh, is life as bad as dreams
I guess that's just the way it seems

Finally got my new Blu-ray player back, in working condition. Also, found a guy who'll fix my old calculator's broken circuit board. :woohoo:

Gave a woman who missed her bus a ride. I feel almost like a good scout now.

Another stinger missile without payload went incredibly high with almost no smoke. I must fix someone who is BRAVE enough to film while I fire them, though.  8)

Well, not today, but something I really liked yesterday.

I got an old map from my Dad covering the area where I live.

I already had a facsimile of the area from the official Dutch ministry of war map from 1851,
Now I got an official German map from 1936 covering the same area. 1:100,000
There's old pinholes in it. And they were not made by my dad. He bought it as a used map in a bookshop a bit less than 50 years ago.

The area where I live is still water on both old maps.

I like looking at stuff like that. I have a few old maps of Manchester  (the city I live in) from 19th century

I also have a reproduction of one from the town that I live in. I can see right where my house is and stuff. Really awesome to look at I think

You can find stuff like that on ebay btw, if you live in a well-populated area

My dad has thousands of maps. His latest obsession is making sure all the things he collected end up at places where they will be appreciated. He's sending things to archives and museums now.
He also does not want to burden us with sorting it in the case he'd die.
I do share his liking for maps.
Hope he'll give me some more.

I hope I'll have a shitload of old things by the time I'm really old. I'd like to give them away to people and museums/libraries before I die then as well. He sounds like a cool guy. Get him to send me some

I hope you'll get to be surrounded by collectables at a high age indeed.
And finding a new obsession in getting it all in safe places is a very good obsession nearing 80.

Yes, he is cool.  :)

I have this facisimile map of my county (before the county was merged with the other two counties of western Sweden in 1998). It's from 1806:

Er why?  I empathise with homeless people, I was temporarily homeless myself at one point so you're a dick.
