Why can't my mom just fucking hate that prick?

Nah, her ex. I wouldn't tell anyone she knew, but she's still messed up about him. I wish I could either make her utterly hate him, forget about him, or I could kill him and get away with it (in both an earthly and cosmic sense).
maybe the kind of companionship that he offered is exactly the kind of companionship that she thinks she is worthy of/used to.
honestly: many men are pricks to women and do all sorts of abusive things to them; both physically and emotionally.
I kind of noticed this phenomenon.
i think its just plain comfort. people gravitate to what they are familiar with.
notice in HS and every other social place with different ethnic groups. people always group into what they know.
blacks with blacks
whites with whites
hispanics with hispanics.
i think its comfort, pure and simple.
