When I am too tense, I think in words, and block all other thoughts. Can very easily go to obsessing over the thoughts then too.
Thinking in images frees me from obsessing. I can just watch and see, without aimlessly tossing and turning and tweaking the words over and over.

I'm confident he was referring to himself. About 75% sure he meant him, because it's a statement, and he can't really make a statement like that about me when he lives so far away. I don't think he's always awake. Unless he means that he's always consciously awake, or awake when he's conscious.  :autism:
