If I did that I would probably have a meltdown within a day from not being able to see properly.

I just tried looking at the screen without my glasses and I can't read it. My glasses are staying on!

I wear my glasses in the shower and, because they were a bit broken, they fell off my face in the bathroom and landed on the floor next to the toilet.

I can't see the screen from how I usually sit. so I have to have my laptop closer to my face. i'm just gonna be staying in bed though apart from when i hav lectures. so it's not gonna be a problem apart from that. just boring

Soph, does your family worry that you stay in bed for a long time?
My mum has a go at me if I stay in bed until the afternoon. Sometimes I just want to stay there all day. But I feel the need to get up and have a shower.

Yeah my mum does too. she knows this is a shitty time for me tho so she understands. she's more concerned that I'm not doing my uni work

My mum has been concerned that I have been doing too much studying. It is true that I haven't studied this much in past semesters.

Apparently I should have always worn glasses. My eyes have to work very hard to focus on anything apparently, which I never knew. I found this out about 4 years ago, and the optometrist was amazed that I'd gone through life with no headaches and even made it through school...especially liking reading and art. So, when I got glasses, he didn't give me the actual prescription strength I needed because he wanted me to still work and exercise my eyes as long as possible and not wear them all the time, only for reading.

But now, I simply must have them for computer, reading now and I suspect driving, but have fought wearing them driving, to keep exercising the muscles. Whereas 4 years ago, I didn't, or at least my eyes worked well enough to cope. Unfortunately I read a lot, a hell of a lot for work, and I know my sight is deteriorating fast now.

I remember getting killer headaches in school when I was due for a prescription change. It is quite something that you went all that time without glasses though you needed them.

My major issue now is with prismatic lenses. I have an appointment on Saturday and I bet the prismatics need to be stronger again. My left eye is lazy and just wants to go wandering.
