Today will be one of the shitty days of being a parent. 

The Princess Royal and I (too) often go to a diner where she has adopted the cooks and servers as her aunts and uncles.  They told me today that her Uncle Matt died early this morning.  He was a kind man who lived up to the qualities of his real job as a preacher.  I'll tell her tonight.

I had thought I'd say G_d wanted to reward him for his life and preaching and took him to heaven.  That his life would have been very hard had he stayed on earth after his illness.  (Matt had a stroke and they took him off life support.)
