I'm wondering how monkeyboy is doing. I dropped him off at
http://www.novasark.ca/about.html to spend the day with 24 other kids with Autism. The farm is incredible! All these winding paths, tons of trees, it's secluded, very homey and relaxing. He immediately felt right at home.
He was matched up with a buddy for the day (ie: NT peer who is probably around 13 or 14 and has over 100 volunteer hours with the program) and it turns out his buddy's favourite animal is cats which is the monkeyboy special interest. So next thing I know, his buddy was off to give him a tour of the place and they were chatting away about how much they love cats. Then I looked over and what did I see? A huge potpolly big wagging his tail wandering across the yard.
I can hardley wait to pick him up in a few hours and find out how it went!!! *eek*
