I finally understand why faster than light attempts in special relativity results in causality violations. The only way such violations can be averted is if a special 'absolute' frame exists that apples exclusively to FTL phenomena. But then, I cannot begin to figure out how something like that could work and still retain special relativity almost unchanged, if possible at all. However I rather not take the 'it cannot work' approach straight away, I want to take the 'if not, why not' approach first. It's more fun that way.

Anyway, back to work with my madness...
