Ockers are those who say "winda," "Sundee," and "Os-TRAY-ya" in place of "window," "Sunday," and "Australia."

We have those in Massachusetts! The Boston accent involves a lot of dropped r's. What's funny is that despite having been born and raised here, I have never had the local accent...I recognize an authentic impersonation when I hear it, but I'd have to make a real effort to speak that way myself for any length of time.  :P

Oops, I spelt Ocker wrong.

Koalanet, I love it!  Do you see them regularly?

I've lived close to the bush at times and seen them. Also seen them at the zoo. They are cute when they are little babies and they sit on their Mummys back. But they can be fiesty vicious little animals....

I have these living in my roof....

We had it removed and sealed the eaves but it's found it's way in again. I think it's started a family  :(

They carry their babies on their back also and sleep all day like koalas....in my roof unfortunately!

They sound similar to the opossums we have here.  I found this article about discouraging them:

Thanks....I had a visual of decking Christmas lights in my roofspace and playing Christmas carols very loudly!

The problem I have is that the neighbours yard is exceptionally treed and quite bushy. On top of that, a block or so away is an extensive bushland reserve. Possums are very territorial and will return to the place they were removed from. Unfortunately mine accesses the roof via the power line. Not sure where he has 'broken' into the roof space again....but they are very determined and my house has lots of overlapping gables.

^ I could help you with that!

I am thinking that I made a mistake committing to go 'dancing' at some club in Boston when I return in July. :duh:

I don't dance! What the fuck was I thinking?
Crazy, I'm halfway to crazy
Suicide would waste me
Homicide would break me

Tongue tied and tied to the tongue
Oh, is life as bad as dreams
I guess that's just the way it seems

Has anyone really ever went as far as decided to use even go want to do more like?
