can you please explain what you think an ideology is?

facism in pre WW11 germany was an ideology, was it not.

and this thread continues, i never made reference to any individuals.

In other words, yes, while you can argue for facism, nazism, etc, being ideologies with racist ideas thrown in, there's nothing ideological--or systematic--in Richard's opinions so far. There's just bigotry.

Now, I'm not saying that he or anyone else with abhorrent views about one thing or another should be silenced. Not at all. I'm saying is that they should expect to be called on their views. Racism isn't part of a game at Intensity, it isn't added for entertainment value. It's a dangerous reality, and it's hurting people, in real life.

a system of belifs that your race is superior than any other is an ideology, and i do believe he has demonstrated that is his set of beliefs.

i am not arguing the dangers of racism, homophobia, etc, i am merly arguing the symantics of wheteher or not his views are in fact an ideology.  which i think they are, to him.

i agre with odeon - richard hasn't presented any cogent arguments - or even intimations of same - to suggest he's following any particular ideology.  he's simply made racist statements or comments.  i think it's different when people do this, in one way, cos there's no debate, and therefore no way of either side being able to argue the toss.  there's nothing to get hold of and argue, in other words.  people have asked richard why he's said stuff, and there's only a load of garbled nonsense coming back.

i also agree with PI and callaway - but then, didn't she have a funny shaped mind, as well?  perhaps it's related.  ;)
