Let's say for the sake of argument that someone kept saying over and over again that you or I were twelve, though.  If we kept denying it every time someone said it, would that prove we were twelve?

Of course not. But someone's age is a prett definite thing. Someone's opinion isn't quite so certain.

Constantly telling people you don't care about something often indicates that they DO care though.

If someone kept saying I was twelve I would probably say, "If you think so" and leave it that. Much harder to deal with this sort of thing in rl, though. Because it is like teasing that is harder to ignore.

But it's true. It's one of those things that you only notice some time after the fact. NTs would refer to it as that part of us that is tactless/blunt.
