I am thinking about all the times i've ever done something stupid.  But I've got defense mechanisms in place that when I start getting in excessive negative thought cycles, I catapult myself into some more positive thought and try to forget about what I was thinking about before.  Works really well, already forgot what I was thinking about at the beginning of this message.

I would but I made a mistake with yardage when I was buying the yarn I really want to use for the top I really want to make- so I don't have enough.  Nothing seems to satisfy me just lately, I keep starting stuff and then frogging it cos I'm not happy with it. Meh  :-\

Thanks for the understanding.  Am feeling much calmer now I found something I wanted to make and even better my gauge was spot on first try  ;D

I didn't use to do the gauge thing, but after things that don't fit I decided it was probably wise.  I made Xan a stripey sock last week after he liked mine so much and when I tried it on him it was far too small, so I'm being good with the gauge swatches now  :laugh:
