What are brain zaps like?

It feels like something's "zapping" or bursting inside your brain. Not that you can actually feel anything in your brain but it does nevertheless.

It's not something I know how to explain.

Zoloft caused a lot of shit, which is why I'll never touch an SSRI again. My current doc wants to put me on Effexor, claiming that it's not an SSRI. ::)

He's not wrong   It's an SNRI.  Technically not much different from a SSRI though.

I don't know why I even bother with him. He's just a messenger boy.

I don't think I've ever had any noticeable withdrawal from meds I've been on. I had some dodgy side effects from Prozac and had to come off it pretty early though so maybe that's why. And Dosulepin didn't really have any affect on me at all.

I'm hoping it won't be too bad when I come off these ones. I'm only on about 30mg though so maybe it won't be too bad.

Clicking on this page just reminded me to gake my meds

Also I wanna know why my cat is so obsessive about having to have the door open. She cries if I shut it, as if she wants to go out, but then when I open it she just goes back to bed :zombiefuck:

It's because cats get bored and decide to fuck with the humans.

She just wants the option of being able to go out when she feels like it.

Effexor suxxors. I have already said that, though.

I take Cymbalta (duloxetine) which is also an SNRI but it has been fine.
But I have noticed that I am extremely sensitive to the half-life of meds now. Which means if I don't take Cymbalta in the morning, I know by late afternoon that I haven't take it because I get dizzy spells. Withdrawal effects.  :-\

Oh! My two favourite characters might be getting together!?
Please don't tell me you're talking about QuestionableContent.  If Hannelore starts having sex, there will be no question anymore about the series having jumped the shark.

Silly argument really, its like saying you will never take paracetamol because morphine made you high.

From what I remember, withdrawing from Zyprexa was atrocious- I don't know how much I blogged about it on here, but I was on here when I did it.  Only thing I remember having a severe withdrawal coming off of, though I'd been cycled through all kinds of lovely headmeds for most of my childhood.

Have you ever taken SSRIs, Hadron? Effexor and Zoloft share some interesting side-effects, as well as the typical withdrawal probs. And they both cause problems for your "good" obsessions, too.

If you don't know what you're talking about, maybe, just maybe, you should just shut up, or at least avoid the moronic similes. :finger:
