You should take your laptop. Sitting in the chat here last night during class was the only way I made it through without sleeping.
I didn't bring mine but ironically, my professor mentioned that the university is becoming more strict about people bringing laptops to class, but that he doesn't care if we bring them. He even said, "If you're going to play games on it, just make sure you don't distract the people around you."
I wish my laptop had longer battery life though, 'cause I don't think there are any outlets close enough to plug it into (it's a big lecture hall). Maybe another class.
