I have a great deal of respect for her, because she was able to balance her legal responsibility to the state (regarding her job) with a parent's ignorance (and blinded, Proud Daddy syndrome) and guide us to the kind of help we needed for my son when he was only three.
She was hindered legally from using the word "autism" (Knowing full well what the circumstances involved - after many conversations this disclosure came to the forefront), but she was able to make two blind parents see reality.
I owe her many a debt.
