I know I have said, "I HATE PEOPLE!" out of frustration with specific people, but if I TRULY hated people, in a general sense, I would not have made the career choices I have made. I doubt that you would have either, Ozy. I can't imagine that you thought that your career would be an easy way through life either.
Yes, I always had a dependable barrier of some sort, between me and over-exposure. Too much direct contact can be overwhelming, especially with strangers. It was mostly strangers that made me money, though. But, I wasn't "in it for the money" either.
I have been uplifted by "people" in many ways and quite often, just pursuing my work. (present job does not count)
I think we both just need more effective ways to allay the daily stresses, without fantasizing about a source of disposable people through which to becalm our frustrations.
Fucking fun imagining myself as the Conductor of the Pain Symphony, in B Flat Major, Opus 29, though.
