You're not doomed, either way. Many people have all their wisdomm teeth.

Also, there may be more room than you think for more teeth. Get them X-rayed and then you will know. Often the dentist can tell without X-rays, though.

When it hurts bad enough or the one growing in starts to move your other teeth, get an appointment.

I think I am due to go to the dentist soon
I go every six months for the check-up things
Which I hate becuase it tastes funny and there's never anything wqrong so it's a load of crap for no reason

But I gota a letter reminding me to book an appointment the other week

Still, they're a royal pain.
They would itch regularly.


Plus, they're a bitch to clean,
and softer than other teeth,
so they rot easily.

My dentist told me that mine would be
impacted. That they had to come out.
Next time I saw him (some 20 years later),
he told me they came in perfectly, but were

I don't seem to be getting any at the top of my mouth, just two at the bottom, mostly the one on the right

Mine were impacted, so they had to be cut out in two small oral surgeries.  There wasn't enough room for them anyway, since they were HUGE.

I had the bottom two cut out first, and then the top two finally came down far enough to be cut out, but it was years later.

I was not put to sleep for the bottom two, but I had enough anaesthesia that I felt nothing until after it wore off and then I had other medicine to take for the pain.  I was put into sort of a "twilight sleep" for the top two when they were finally ready to come out.  I think that this might have been because the root of one of them pierced my sinus.
