The stores here have after-Christmas clearance sales on Boxing Day.

Becoming a vet is such a difficult process here,
that one really has to love animals to do so.

I could see it in him and his wife is his nurse (she is almost a doctor DVM).

I am very impressed and I hope they influence others.

It would make me really sad to see the abused animals and the ones being put down.  Stuff happening to dogs really upsets me.

One of my nieces on MY side of the family works with abused and tragically displaced animal rescue efforts, specialising in dogs. She spent over a month in Louisiana after Katrina. She has my respect as well, mostly, but her personal life is too fucked up to imagine.

 
She has done so much good, but I take her for granted. I should help her life be easier some way.

I would have a problem with the people who abuse animals. I don't really consider myself all that PETA friendly or treehugging liberal, but abusing an animal is reason to abuse the humans who do it, because they should fucking know better!
