Plans fell through. I was going to do a little possessive rechecking on my latest project, but the club canceled for Friday night.
This means I'll have to ditch my mom on her first day here and do this tomorrow.

I'm going to a night club, she's a Southern Baptist Tee-Totaler.
I'm working with men who have long hair. She hates that.
I am going to push the hell out of a very powerful sound system. That would be torture to her. (She has some aspie sensitivities to loud sounds - I think of heavy sound as a stim)
I am going to listen to a rock band, playing very loudly, while I tweak the sound for maximum output in the gut pounding bass range. (the new speakers I built a couple of weeks ago, for my friend)

She hates rock music, she hates loud sounds, she hates clubs of any kind, she would not want to accompany me.

This is one of those times when I genuinely do wish I wasn't right so goddamn much of the time, because I saw it coming.  I guess it could have been worse; I was worried she'd get him thrown in jail again, and it'd stay on his record this time.

Well, to be fair, his big problem was with her drinking, and of course she didn't need to when she was on opiates for her back pain, so I should cut him some slack, right?
