The oddest thing happened this morning ...
We went to the new school to drop some papers off. No one from the school could be found, but we knew that and I had instructions to drop them in a certain place. It's a brand new school, as yet, unfinished. None of us had ever been there before, but my daughter's first words were that she knew this place and she had that wide-eyed stare of déjà vu on her face.
My son was bouncing around on his toes, overstimmed from all the construction work still going on, everywhere. They seem to have a lot of finishing touches yet to be completed, before the school start date and frantic work is taking place around the clock at this point.
My son said that he really needed to go to the bathroom and my daughter pointed down a hallway and said there was a bathroom down that way, past all the books. I looked down the hallway and I could see some light fixtures on the floor, waiting to be installed. Several doors along the hall were standing open, but you could not see inside them.
She was insistent and so I took my son down the hall and, sure enough, just past the turn at the end there was a bathroom. She could not possibly have seen it from where she had been standing! On the way down the hall we past two huge conference rooms with pallets of books being unpacked and sorted on the tables. There is absolutely NO FUCKING WAY she could have seen "all the books" when we walked into the office.
This has gotten me creeped out a bit! I have questioned her some and her responses are that she "dreamed it, already."
I know this sounds totally full of shit, but I can't explain it.
