Because of the so called "rush" from the heavy sugar content and the increased caffeine content.  Energy drinks are basically concentrated soda drinks.  They're cans of mountain dew or pepsi with less water.  I would suggest everybody try it for themselves and post what they think.

When you said "concentrated soda drink", I was convinced. We don't drink soda, generally. I've been known to toss down a cold rootbeer in a short time when I was overheated, but I usually pay for it. My eight year old has tried a sip of a carbonated drink, twice that I know of, but my six year old has not. The young one refuses to try it - says it smells like "flowers and mud together".

Relentless is a pretty good energy drink. I won't be drinking it again though, its equivalent to two cans of Red Bull but doesn't taste like shit. I have a bizarre reaction to caffeine though, it actually makes me sleepy and then I get the rush hours later. makes it a bit too easy to take too much.
