You can deal with it.  Have a nice night.  If you believe you can't you probably will be able to.

Graelwyn, i don't think you can be too outspoken for Intensity. everyone here is outspoken and that's the way we like it.

who labeled you emo?

Several, actually, lol. From the way I can see it in the specific thread in the second from bottom area, anyway. But I suppose, I can take the descriptive. I don't mind being seen as someone over emotional, though it would be inaccurate most of the time. I suppose I just become more emo when I am not coping especially well  :green:

I am thinking that for once, I am up before the late afternoon, and if this light remains I am taking my camera out to the common to try and photograph some trees and birds. It is bloody cold though so I hope I can stick out the temperature. I am almost thinking I wish I didn't have to see the doctor today as it means I have to hurry instead of sitting on here longer.

I'm starting to think I don't belong on this forum myself, and I wish I could just drop dead right now...people are cruel and full of hate, and there will never be the peace that I long for.

I know that feeling, but if it is any consolation, I sure don't want you to drop dead right now. I tend to get that thought most days lately, but I still wake up and ask why the fuck I still have to be on this wretched earthplane. I agree that people are for the most part, cruel and full of hate, tho maybe as much through the whole machine of society rather than personal flaws. +1 in hopes that your day gets better.

I know, but I suppose, maybe a way around it is to learn to embrace the sensitivity and find some use for it? Maybe it gives an advantage over some with AS as it might enable one to get to a point of empathy easier. I know I managed it for a time when I took advantage of my strong emotions.

I vary. Sometimes, peoples tragedies mean nothing to me and I find myself feeling either nothing...or defenciveness and discomfort. Other times, like when I am watching a film, or reading about someone's tragedy, I can end up in tears. I have felt empathy mostly for those who have felt the same as I have and have suffered the same, but even that is not always the case. I had to really focus on them for it to happen.

Going to see my doctor and ask him if there are any aspergers specialists in the vicinity, and if not, I shall just save to go private.

Even if there are no specialist in your area who take adult NHS patients you still might be able to get your local health trust to pay for you to see a specialist privately.  It can take longer, because there's a bit of to-ing and fro-ing between your Dr and the trust before they'll agree to fund the appointments you need to get a dx, but at least you won't have the worry of raising the money yourself.

I gave you a +1 for that clever bit of writing "there's a bit of to-ing and fro-ing"..... DB

Thanks- I've been through it before when Duncvis was trying to get a dx and there are no better suited words to describe all the letter writing between the doctor and the health trust.  That seems to be the problem in the UK- we might not have to pay for health care but we certainly have to fight for it if its something beyond the 'norm'.
