Ah, how good it feels to finally commit a major update of that library to the repository. And more is to come. But first I need a new, clean copy. Damn you, DOS line endings!

By the way, here is a truly horrible pun I once thought of:

What did the sourcecode say to the CVS repository?

I use a .243 Win on squirrels out to a range of 600 yards. I hope you don't mind it going off in you backyard.  ;)

Making a saturation filter with a distinct threshold value (to softly crunch transient peaks) that works relatively effectively without causing hearable crackle on some material is pretty hard, it seems. Mayhaps oversampling would help here. But it's not yet time to concider such. Oh well, what I have now might be acceptable.

Poor ears. Listening to the often saturated and slightly crackly output of a non-brickwall limiter driven very hard results in listening fatigue pretty quickly.
