Yes, I would imagine at least higher functioning autistics would have at least basic social skills. I admit I did some dumb stuff on wrongplanet when in my earlier days, but I can justify that by having very social experience. I still find it amazing for higher functioning autistics say over the age of 21 to have social skills as non-existent as I have seen on that forum.

Probably it doesn't help that forums as a communication form have absolutely NO body language clues.  Autistics might miss a lot of them, but they notice some...

Did watching weird movies make me weird.... or do I watch weird movies because i'm weird....
