Chatrooms are nothing compared to when I had to sightread(usually in halftime) music in symphonic band.

i quite agree.  especialy when you're the percussionist, and spend half the fucking time waiting for your one go on the cymbals, when you have to know everything else on the bloody score, AND hold the bastard things still for about a week and a half...   ::)

Cymbals suck. I was forced to use those things in boot camp. You must have some upper strength because I nearly killed my arms trying to use those damn things.

yep.  built like schwarzenegger, at the tender age of about 11, when i was only 4' tall.  was hysterical, when all the beefy men asked if they could help when i was carting timps around, and they nearly dropped the fuckers, pmsl... ;)
