WTF? So I accidentally came up here on the wrong day, meeting is next Friday, but took the opportunity to sit down with my PO and discuss our safety review next week and they tell me that they still consider me their safety lead, but are waiting to fight it until after the safety review.
Had my bitch gotten posted this morning you'd have some more insight as to why this makes no sense for me not to be the lead. Maybe I'lll post it again when I get home. Waitng for the train right now.
So I am doing almost the entire presentation to the Safety Review Board. This is something my PO wants and my management seems to realize is necessary as the other guy is clueless. In fact, he asked me to do it a couple of weeks ago anyway. Clearly he knows who is better! During our informal discussion with our POC on the Safety Review Board in preparation for the formal review I was the one our POC directed all of the questions to. Some background info...I have a very strong reputation with the Safety Review Board for my technical expertise and the fact I stand my ground and provide truly independent safety assesmments and won't be pressured to lower my risk ratings by an overbearing PO. The POs pay for us, but we are under a different command to remain independent. Although there are plenty of my colleagues who can be influenced. We all know that ain't the case for me!!!
Soooo, my PO continues to call me their safety lead, known as the Principal for Safety. My mangement knows the other guy can't handle doing the formal brief. Plus, the Safety Review Board recognizes me as the technical expert.
So can someone explain to me why I am not the PFS?
