This just made me cry.  A man who took a polaroid a day, from 1979 till 1997 when he died of cancer.  It's so amazingly touching seeing someone's life chronicled like that.

Any other week it probably wouldn't have, but that hit me hard.

My dad died 12 years ago Monday of a heart attack. He carried a lot of stress, and I can't imagine having a spaz kid on the spectrum did him any favors. I was not a good kid. I caused the old man a lot of stress.

Hey, don't go thinking that way. There are people who carry stress no matter if their life was all sunshine and roses. Your Dad's life was meant to have you in it. That would have been one of his biggest blessings.  Kids are meant to give their parents a run for their money. Taking care of my son (AS/ADHD/Tourettes) is a full time job in itself and if I died of a heart attack tomorrow, it wouldn't mean it was due to him. I wouldn't trade a single day of my life's journey. You were a tough kid who turned into a good man. Your dad would be proud.  :-*

^QFT.

All kids stress out their parents, it's their job.

I swear having children is a parents revenge. My parents think it's hilarious what i go through with my daughter because she's my mini-me (minus the spaz side). I dread the teen years. I was awful. :P

I'm sorry.

I understand why this is a hard time of the year because my mom died of a heart attack seven years ago this month.

:( (a manly one, of course)

My dad died a little over eight years ago--October 10, 2001. My sympathies.

Aww guys...hugs all around.

I'm lucky to stlil have both my parents but my Mum seems to be heading downhill rapidly. I talk to her at least twice a day and I have no idea how I'll function without her when it happens. She's my rock. I hope they can figure things out and get her turned around.  :-\

I don't know what I'd do without my mum, she's my only parent  :-\

I'm kind of regretting bunking today.  I wanna talk about Trainspotting.  Although I probably wouldn't have gotten anything interesting out of the college tards  :thumbdn:

Where did you wander off to, SD? Hopefully some place enjoyable. 8)

Been going to the World Masters Games with my mother, who has been competing in the swimming. Mom picked up a bronze in the event she swam in yesterday (colour me proud). Also a couple days ago I got a nice photo of Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark chatting with the amazingly adorable Geoff Huegill. Will get around to posting said photo at some point. :)

I'm laying in bed, candles on, listening to Playground Love by Air and I'm thinking I want to spoon. Le sigh. Unfortunately the only one in bed with me is my cat. :P
