someone appears to have filled my body with sand overnight.

That must be a unique experience

Why is Crazy Bitch such a magical song?  It makes my friends get lost when it plays while they're driving, and when I'm out on my morning walk it seems like well over half the time I wind up stripping a tiny bit* while it's playing.

*that is, if I'm wearing a jacket that morning.  :P

If you'd been thinking with the big brain, dad, you wouldn't be down $400.

This is one of those times when I genuinely do wish I wasn't right so goddamn much of the time, because I saw it coming.  I guess it could have been worse; I was worried she'd get him thrown in jail again, and it'd stay on his record this time.

Well, to be fair, his big problem was with her drinking, and of course she didn't need to when she was on opiates for her back pain, so I should cut him some slack, right?

:twitch:

Today he showed up at my house to fix something and she was in the car.

Seeing as I am his daughter, you'd think he'd have told me about a major life-altering thing like getting a lobotomy.

i think i'm going to end up being one of those people who has their groceries delivered to their house.

Like me, you mean?

If that's what you do, then yes. Working in a supermarket is making me want to never set foot in one again.

i'd much prefer to have my groceries delivered to me. unfortunately very few places around here provide that service.

It's not because of laziness (though I am a lazy person)...I think I have been traumatized...or in the words of Randy, "truamatized" by supermarkets.  :-\

I used to work in Spar, which is crappiest, scummiest grocery chain we have here.  I just realised a few days ago that I can get my shopping delivered for free using a code that comes with each receipt.  I'd been throwing them away thinking it was marketing crap.  :wallbutt:

Me and renaeden did some shopping earlier today, twice we had to double back because there were just too many people in the aisle... Time and time again I find that if I go into an area that doesn't have people in it, people will come. I'm a friggen crowd magnet! It shits me!
(and I'm lazy)

I tried ordering my groceries online a few of times but hated the fact that they always had to make substitutions for a fair amount of the stuff I ordered and they always seemed to pick the things I'd never normally buy.   Also every time I ordered fresh meat it always had that day's use by date on it or the next day's.

Yeah, it's not ideal.  Mum has to get me things like liver, which they don't sell online, as well as anything they didn't have on the day of the delivery.

You don't have Netto, Lidl and Aldi in Glasgow?

It's the second biggest city in the kingdom (next to London), so I think that they do.
