Gid rid of half that crap running in the background. Reason why I hate buying laptops/computers from companies, they fill it up with uneeded shit that slows it down. I built mine and everything's super fast.  :zoinks:

Give it time. If you've got Windows, it will slow down.

I've built it over a year ago and I've yet to experience any slowdown with Vista.... or any sort of problems in general. I must be one of the lucky ones. Had a spot of trouble with BSODs at the start though, but turned out my RAM was faulty since Ubuntu and OSX kept crying about it too.

Might upgrade it again, get a decent motherboard that has SLI and dual CPU sockets or something like that. Might even get a dedicated PSU for the graphics cards, if that's possible.

Easy fixed, defrag the registry.

Current one
Existence actually has two broad meanings despite its apparent meaningless. The constant reconciliation of all its parts, and the conservation of any closed system as a whole.

Morality can be extrapolated from these meanings to make these two commandments of godless morality: 1). Be in harmony with one another and 2). Care for the environment.

I have yet to defrag my registry, or defrag in general. Might do it today.

Messing about with Windows 7 more, it's okay but it's more of an add-on to Vista than a seperate OS. Nothing special.

I've used this:

Seems to do the job. Of course I also run CCleaner beforehand

That's good, then--I thought Vista would degrade over time, just as XP.

The question to ask is if your software would support it.
