Plus, there are big issues which really need to
be resolved early on. More than just living with
someone, but dealing with who they really are.

One of the reasons that I'm pretty adamant about
living with someone for a few years, before really
committing fully.

Money and cleanliness seem to be our two big issues.

And barbecue sauce. :P

Marriage to me means trying extra hard to make things work together. I am not usually a team player but with GA I want to be. That sounds sappy, heh.

Probably right. But, I just don't trust my
own ability to work through such things,

Statistically, those who live together prior to marriage are actually more likely to divorce, unless they were engaged. According to two of my Family and Child Studies classes at least.

I'd guess that that has more to do with
the moral beliefs of the people involved though.
Those willing to 'shack up' might not view marriage
in the same manner as those willing to wait. I know
that we never did. But, never thought we'd fall
either.
