Unfortunately my 12G internet cap has been breached, retarding download speed to modem sluggishness, so I youtube is out of the question until Friday.

You need 200G a month like me and then you too can become an internet junkie.  :green:

:whatthe: 200G????? Aussie internet providers charge wayyyy too much for bandwidth.

Yeah, $80 a month bundled with iPrimus.

Think I'm on $60/month bigpond cable (parents pay for it). Contract is over so might consider moving to another ISP.

Unless it's all your exchange offers, I have no idea why people go with BigPond. They have the shittiest deals out there.

http://www.adsl2exchanges.com.au/ and http://www.whirlpool.net.au/ are your friend.

AFAIK cable is only available on telstra or optus.
This brain could do with some more dimethyltryptamine.

What is the difference between ignorance and apathy? "I don't know and I don't care."

Yeah, but can't you get ADSL/ADSL2 in your area?

Is it as fast as cable?

Cable can be a bit of a mixed bag really depending on usage in your area. Sometimes the same can be said for some ADSL suppliers who don't have enough back haul to meet demand at the exchange. Personally I haven't had that problem with Primus. You do hear of it with Optus and internode I think.
