How is Spokane pronounced?  I always said it as Spo-cain in my head but on Twin Peaks it was pronounced Spo-kah-n?  ???

Neither.  The city anyway is pronounced spo-can.  Native American I believe.  (I grew up nearish there)

there are a ton of weird city/state/town whatever names in the US because of the native americans.

Ohio always seemed weird to me.

The name of my town used to be Catfish :D

Spokane is a Salish word BTW.

The name is often mispronounced as Spo-cane. There is even a parody song called Spokane and it gets pronounced as Spo cane as is Cocaine. It is a parody of that Eric Clapton song.

Cocaine is actually a JJ Cale song that was covered by Eric Clapton.
