What does "deep-sound-no-echo" mean?

It's a submariner's expression. When they receive no return echo, the protocol is to increase power to the ultrasonic mapping equipment. They call it "sounding." Deep-sounding is extreme use of the power potential of their systems.

No-echo means that you are the ONLY one there.

I have often been the ONLY one there, when I explore limits.

Where you a submariner?  I went to collage near a base and knew quite a few

Acer is a good brand and you won't go wrong with a reasonably modern one.

Acer is a good brand and you won't go wrong with a reasonably modern one.

Acer laptops do sell for cheap over here and they seem pretty good. I really like the curved keyboards.
BB sells as many as they can get, but it seems that we never have enough to meet the demand.
Quite often, a customer is there looking to buy their second or third Acer. Can't say that about any of the "leading brands,"  except maybe those shitty HPs. HP DOES advertise a lot and they give big "discounts" if you get a computer bundled with a shitty All-In-One printer.
:puke:

Just don't buy a Sony. Those twelve hundred dollar paperweights seem to spend a lot of time in the repair shop.

This one is a lot better. The £50 is well spent, IMO.

Sony is *evil*.

My work laptop is a Lenovo (former IBM) and I have to admit it's pretty good. It could be a fast one, too, with a decent OS.

It's better now that you bought more RAM. But there's something wrong with it and I can't figure out what. :-\

Could be, and that would explain why some drivers have trouble with it. :plus:
