heh. i should probably explain... I'm 10 hours ahead of you, so I've a day and a bit to go before I run out - about thirty fags worth left. I smoke 25-30 a day usually so I'll try and cut back a bit tomorrow, then save a bit for skinning up with on friday night. i better get the pipe out after that, no more evil nicotine.  :D I've quit cold turkey before, but since PI smokes I always end up cadging off her. she'll be stuck in the Dordogne at her mums jonesing for a smoke herself lol - hopefully by the time they get home we'll both have quit yay

Okay, that's just scary that you know that.  Anyway, that means you're on Zulu time!  How cool.

OMG- I hope she gets along with her Mum.  Nothing screams "give me a cigarette" like being with my mother.

Okay Odeon, back to you.  Thanks for being the inspiration for this quit-smoking ramble.

Question:  Do you have a recipe for swedish meatballs?  Are they even worth making, in your opinion?

I'll have to ask my wife. Hers are the best. And yes: they're definitely worth making.

Do you think that being selfish of oneself guarantees a better chance at finding happiness than to act selfless towards others?

For me, no. For others, maybe. It all depends on how happiness is defined. If your happiness depends on other people, you can't be all selfish, can you?

I do think that some selfishness is required, though. If you aren't taking care of yourself, how can you take care of anyone else?

What kind of movies do you like them most, and what kind of movies do you hate?

The movies I hate the most are those with any "message" forced on the moviegoer, films made to satisfy a sponsor, or the kind of talky movies that Ingmar Bergman's famous for (or Woody Allen, for that matter).

Films I love? The ones that make me happy and offer two hours of escape. I know, that's not much of an answer but the only answer I can give since I like a variety of films, from action to Russian drama.

Well, he *is* a genius, after all. Ask any projectionist around here. :)

me too - i can never quite forgive myself for finding it so funny, and yet i can never stop laughing, either.  but it's a hard choice between that and the last scenes, where the busby berkley musical number is annexed - that reduces me to a giggling blob every time.
