It's not an excuse. It's a fact. See what happened today? I engaged in some postwhoring earlier, then lost interest.
This is how it works: I rarely am interested in the person. Instead this whole message board thing is like a game to me, so if I start posting and the replies keep coming in, I continue replying, until there's a pause (game over) or the game itself isn't interesting enough. Think Tetris.
