your "grant" money (and there's actually no such thing anymore, btw) is SDA (Student Disability Allowance) though, isn't it?  that's not means tested.

The DSA I havent even applied for. The grant money I am talking about is the Durham Grant, and the one the government provides (if your household income is below a certain threshold, the government pays you). Plus I get DLA as well still. It adds up to a more than comfortable amount to live off, the only thing I have to do is take out a loan for the tuition fees, the rest will go into a bank and get me a decent amount of intrest for the 3-4 years.

DSA will cover some of my books I believe (among other things), when I get around to applying. Given that everything is subsided, 6-7k is more than enough to live off very comfortably. Anyway the uni library will have plenty of reading material. I am intending to have a damn good social life as well, despite being an aspie.

Sorted that out partially already. If I get into Durham I will hopefully have people there that would do so already (dependant on if they hit their grades too). I am sure I will find plenty of people.

Your making an assumption I act the same on an internet forum as real life. Far from it. There might be the occasional git that causes me problems socially, but i normally deal with them fast.

I was a very social person at university; it seems like a different life.
Maybe it's because i had better drugs than most students.
