You missed the point.
Some of the bannings were
for what amounted to something
similar to atomicka style attacks.
(Ah, the things I suspect about THAT
character - I'm pretty certain that I
have an idea of the motivation now)
The others came directly from spamming
attempts to promote another site. Alex
made a clear decision on this, and rather
than debating it, the former members merely
KEPT posting links. That kind of behavior will
not work, no matter how wrong the actions taken
against it are.
Look, this is not real life, where a govt. can
be overthrown, if it doesn't conform to the
wishes of it's citizens. On the other hand,
there is one simple way to show displeasure,
and some members are doing so.
BUT, losing a couple of posters, no matter how
prolific, isn't going to do any real damage.
And, since they are mainly from a clique, it
may actually make the site easier for those
who post less often.

that they wanted to create something even
freer than WP, and knew it, I think that they
might not have been able to go about it better.
Especially seeing the support that they garnered
over at I2. No, I think that this was fairly well
conceived, in all. At first, I saw it as pure spite,
but sometimes such feelings lead one to choose
well, I guess.
