The Provo/Orem area is like fucking Stepford.  That's where most of the Mormons are.  I lived there for a few months, and it was horrible.  Salt Lake is nothing like any of the stereotypes.  It's a pretty cosmopolitan community and a very liberal community.  We get Mormon missionaries knocking on the door every now and then, but no more than in other cities.  Also, we get other religions soliciting their god from door to door.  I don't know how other areas of Utah are - there are some area's that I'd expect to be almost as bad as Provo/Orem, and there are other areas (Park City comes to mind) that would be diverse and laid back.
