Well, ive just found a box of valium i never realised i had, so that cheered me up.
However, i can't find any painkillers and ive twisted my neck, it's ceasing up, fucking killing me.

Step two is a reference to God of the Christian variety and it gets worse.

You don't have to cowtow to the Christian God necessarily.  I had a sponsor that was a Buddhist lol.   It is just about staying sober anyways, use it for what you can get out of it if you hate the religion shit so much.    Seriously people get pissed if anyone even mentions the name of Jesus or anything in the meetings I went/go to.  It is very secularized these days despite how it was originally formed.   The reason why I first attended AA/NA meetings was due to a misdemeanor pot arrest that I got pre-trial diversion from (woot! not on my record).  I wasn't intending on staying sober back then, but I have actually had over a year of no drugs or alcohol a couple of years ago.   That wasn't due to my will power alone.   Longest I could go without getting high or drunk without any kind of outside help was maybe a week.
