Six diet cookbooks.  I'm planning on reading the weight off.

A new tyre and an oil change.  Although horses probably aren't much cheaper.

Need to get a new tie rod and a brake fluid change within the next month or 2.

I bought myself a pair of glasses this afternoon. No kidd ya.. my very first pair, ever. Um, this, due to me having, more frequently, trouble to properly read stuff. My vision goes blur more and more so trying to. Like e.g. the labels on the products (mainly food) I buy. Checking the ingredients and other stuff on labels is a thing I do. For decades, so.. I'm reckoning now.

Well, the glasses are cheap ones (€4) and they are not from an optician but from a chain store that sell all sorts of things.. incluis 'fixed' pairs of glasses (2x +1½), thus. I was looking for some kitchen stuff there and ja, bumped into them coincidently.

The experience, wearing them, I have, is.. ja, weird. The thing does the trick when reading texts and seeing stuff on the table nearby (e.g.).. and in that way it is improvement.. but..

.. when I try to see something properly (sharp, clear and focused) looking over the pair I wear my eyes have trouble doing so. Basically wearing them improved or lessened my far-sightedness but it made my ability to properly focus in the distance (a tadski further/say >1m) go less satisfactory.

Um, think, I should go to an (okay) optician soon and let my eyes be properly tested and ja, go from there..

If you have a good one, you'll be told you are OK with the cheap ones. That is, if your eyes need the same strength of glasses.   One that wants to make money desperately will try selling you a really expensive one.
