Cordless tools are the most handy thing ever.  I always carry a full kit of them in the van

All of mine are Ryobi.  :(

I have Bosch.  They are the older Nicads though I want to convert them to the lithium batteries but have yet to do so

Bosch makes some nice stuff, as does Milwaukee. Nothing wrong with Ryobi either, I have some of those as well.

An old fashioned whistling kettle.

They didn't have any wolves to whistle at you?

(wolf whistle = what a guy does at an attractive girl for those who aren't up on American old-time slang.)

A new rolling bookbag for my daughter.  The handle broke for the second time on the old one which we bought eight months ago, so she decided that she wanted a pink one this time.  We wound up buying a rolling scrapbooking case from Michaels since we couldn't find a rolling backpack here.

New telephones.  It was cheaper than buying the batteries.  :(

I had Irlen testing and to get my new glasses with new tint it costs $470. Eek. It is getting more expensive.
