That makes sense. I lost my remote to my DVD player in my couch for two or three months. I still haven't gotten back into using it since I found the remote again.

Unfortunately they did not have a Jumbo remote, so I thought great 2 of them can get lost.

Just duct-tape the two new ones together and they'll make a Jumbo one!

Up untill '95, my parents had a Zenith TV they bought in 1971. It had the vacuum tubes in back that had to be replaced occasionally.

They were able to keep it going because when the local Thrifty Drug was going out of business, my dad bought their whole stock of tubes that fit the TV for pennies on the dollar.

My TV is the same, except it's a Sony, my former landlady's Sony from the 1980s!

My husband had a small old TV that old, which we had fixed in the early nineties, but it recently died.

Rest in peace, old TV. I'll be sad when mine stops working. It's a quality product.
