Hit the farmer's market early. Came home with a batch of green beans for later this evening, some small red Irish potatoes and a cantaloupe.
I'll toss the beans and potatoes in with some German sausage and have a nice meal later.

Also grabbed two pounds of coffee bean blends from a local distributor. Had not seen them out there for a while. Glad to see them back again.  Last time I bought from them I had ordered online. They are only fifteen miles away, but I never go that direction, so ordering was the best way to continue enjoying his craft.

My daughter bought a huge tie dye pancho made of really thick jersey material. It will be a nice throw for late fall or inside all winter.

Five new old stock vises, some other tools and a RCA Victor portable radio from the 50's. It's in great shape but doesn't turn on might just be the rectifier tube

Very NICE!!

I would use caution powering it up. It could also have some dried out capacitors, especially the huge electrloytics used in the power supply.

I suggest that you make one of these and see what happens.

While I was at the store today I bought a white paint pen. Our new-used kitchen table has a few small scuffs. I want to give it a good wipe down first, so I think that will be my project for tomorrow.  :2thumbsup:

In our old place, I used a white paint pen on the door frames. They looked so much better afterwards.

Enjoy using yours, it'll look 100%.

I'm looking forward to it. :orly: Every so often I'll go around the house with some white paint and a tiny paintbrush and catch any nicks and specks on the walls and trim. I saw someone recently on youtube using a paint pen to touch up their metal chairs and wondered why I never thought of that before.  :lol1:

At a thrift shop, taking the kids around, I found yet another huge maul. paid three bucks for this one.
But I found seventeen LPs worth a listen and twelve CDs. Three super fine Japanese blades and one Swedish, just to top it off.
Spent eighteen bucks, but came home with large booty.  (Not a reference to my fat ass!)

I passed on a few things I regret walking away from, but I have to follow instincts. Maybe I was meant to do someone more needy than me a small favor. I like to think that is why I did not just grab up hoardable things.

^I envy you the blades.

I bought some stuff on eBay. Some folders and pages to go in them. Also, some Japanese stamps.

The recent talk about Chinese takeout inspired me to buy Chinese takeout for dinner tonight. It was a nice treat to eat, and even better easy cleanup after doing housework today.

We had to buy a dishwasher, DAMN IT!

The old one had begun to leak and we can not have that shit going on.
The guy we called out to have a look and hopefully fix it said no chance.
He did not charge for his repair call if we have him install the new one we buy.

It will be about $1200 all told, but we will have a new, modern dishwasher with a three year warranty.

Whaddya gonna do?
 :dunno:

Just about what we did, a while back. Old dishwasher gone, new one installed.

Bought a leather jacket to replace my aging one. Had it for years but it was falling apart. You get from the "Indiana Jones had something like this" to "the security is going through my things because of my jacket". In fairness it had holes. I miss it, though.
