Some tools including two vises and four wood planes that were in a house I was working on

Bought a new router but returned it a day later after realising that it didn't fix the problems I hoped it would fix.

It's been one of those weekends.  :grrr:

An expensive $1600 vet bill. Good thing I had savings.

Couple weeks ago, everything was about figuring if we could save our own  "Evil Demon Bitch Cat From Hell"  who has been my best friend for fourteen years and who I dearly love to the ends of THIS Earth.

I thought she had a seizure, panicked, but it was borderline diabetic coma, setting in that we witnessed.
Vet time!! WTF!!??!!

Our bill was only US$800, but they kept bumping it up with every question we asked. They wanted to keep her overnight and "monitor" her condition. That was US$4500 for the first night.

I decided to take her back home, love her and allow nature to take its course. Two weeks later, she seems perfectly fine AND I have not given her ONE pill the vet gave us for seizure control. No seizures either.
Changed her food to a diabetic menu and no issues since. Watching.

Vet bills can be a special kind of CRAZY!

Looking to upgrade. My router is three (four, maybe?) years old. I have a (awesome when I bought it) AC1900 from Netgear.

What did you choose?

I should post pics. It took me forever to get everything up and running.

Well, it seems every project worth doing takes "forever."  What with work and life stuff? Add in REAL distractions and the day is already wasted.

I have Started and Stopped so many times these past few years alone. It's enough to discourage continuing, if that was possible. I can't even claim Work, anymore. I just distract easily. I feel weak against distraction.

What did you choose?

I went for a Linksys MR9600. Not the best but decent enough. The advantage is that it supports my Linksys mesh stuff out of the box. I'd probably have picked an ASUS instead if not for my existing gear.

The WiFi mesh that thing produced was awesome. It's a shame it had to go back. I'm back with my 4-yo Linksys 1900ACS since the new Linksys didn't solve my increasingly weird networking issue.

First test with the five JBL speakers behind the screen.

And here's the view from the other side - the speakers are behind the screen.

I guess this is the wrong thread, though.
