VERY strong coffee and salted caramel syrup to go with it.

Had some already and it's the most delicious rocket fuel I've ever had.

I found some blinds that fit the tiny bathroom window. It's a privacy window so it doesn't really need a window cover, but it looks terrible with nothing at all and the old curtain looks like crap with the new towels. I also bought a kit to transform the fake drawer panel under the kitchen sink into a storage tray. The blinds arrived today and the drawer thing should be here tomorrow. I told Sugarbutt I bought him some awesome weekend honey-do projects.  :zoinks:

^So is your curtain up and you have your storage tray?

I just bought two stamp albums on eBay. Used ones, so they were pretty cheap. One of my albums is falling apart and there's not enough room for all my Australian stamps.

Oh sure, Sugarbutt didn't even wait until the weekend and he did them both right away. The blinds in the bathroom were a bit of a hassle for him, but the storage tray was easier and I think he was as excited to do it as I was to have it done.  :lol1: They both look great.  :2thumbsup:

The nice thing about the Pixel is that if you like Android, it's just about the most unified Android experience you can get. It's closer to what Apple does except you still have access to the file system. Also, there's none of the extra stuff that Samsung forces upon you, like an extra app store, browser, and all the rest of it.

Sounds like where I am headed. Might be a good choice for me.

Let me know of any caveats you discover along your Pixel journey.

Well, about the only thing I can think of so far is that this thing is huge (I bought the Pro). On the other hand, I don't mind at all - my eyesight isn't getting any better.

There are a few bugs, of course, but nothing major. And it took me a while to get used to Android 12, with gestures rather than the three buttons at the bottom, but I was able to go back to the old Android UI for those until I decided to try again.

The upsides are many, though. The camera is stunningly good for a mobile phone, just to pick one that really matters to me, and the AI is sometimes beyond belief.

The experience is very much like what I liked with the original Pixel, six (?) years ago. The hardware is far better, though. If you like Android and aren't a fan of the alternative UIs offered by Samsung and others, this really is as good as it gets right now.
