There's tons of different brands and different flavors of them here. Looked up soda stream, and don't think that's the same thing. It's just tiny bottles of concentrated flavoring to put in water. Just google water flavor drops.
In the grocery stores here, they're in the drink aisle next to the cool aid packets and other powdered drink mixes. Put some in a care package for the oldest years ago, bought some of the liquid ones and also some that were tiny single size packets of dry mix, tea and lemonade flavor, and things like that.

Have you tried slices of ginger in water? Or do you need the sweetness too?
I now have a bottle with cold water, slices of ginger root, lemon and mint in the fridge. If you need sweetness to make things drinkable, maybe adding a seweetener would help.
Time to get creative?

I don't know if you understand what a basic level I am at. Certainly not hacking, heh. I even asked where I should plug the router in. It's wireless. What a dunce I am!

Not a dunce!

One of my favorite questions to ask a "Just learning" or unsophisticated customer:

"Are you sure you have all the cables needed to hook up your new wireless system?"

 :zombiefuck:

Interestingly, wireless systems do require *some* cables. :P

Imagine that reality sprung upon the novice all at once.

Knock on wood my "little" setup has been fairly stable lately. Not the fastest, but stable.

Underground lines are great, but not when they where installed long before dsl and cable. No one even wants to touch this mess.

Mine are underground, installed around '90. We buried an extra six inch plumbing pipe just for cabling to the house.  The "promise from the city"  at the time was that the entire area was going for underground utilities and very "sanitary" look to the neighborhood.

It never happened. I have a pole on my streetside corner that feeds "everything"  in four directions, Honestly, it looks like some kind of "'rigged" together crap that one would see in a third world country.

Fucking HATE that horrid pole and the destruction of my view of sunsets that results.

So going to our twenty something year old house, we are clean, but everyone else needs to enter the late '80s tech!!

Ginger Ale is :viking:

I find the ones which actually use REAL ginger  in the process. It is thought that ginger is beneficial to brain function. Probably a good idea for some of us old farts with certain horrors in our family history.
I use about a two liter per week as an after dinner drink.

One of the best things about taking ginger to improve brain function is that I believe it might help to remember where I put the Viagra.

Have you tried using a zester on your fresh ginger to add some to teas?

It is a serious "bitter"  so maybe some honey and salt to balance (yep, salt in tea, sacrilege, right?)

I'm going to try that. I know how lemon zest gets more bitter when heated. I like the thought of that in tea on a n either hot or cold day. Does the salt back up the ginger and tea flavours?

The salt (small amount) levels the two bitters; tea and ginger. It marries well with honey. I only barely tolerate mint. but this might be a time for some.

I do not enjoy mint, but many do pursue aromatics of all types for their teas.  I sometimes use manzanilla or cilantro as aromatics in tea.

Manzanilla has a more common name; I just can not thin of it right now.

Edit:
Oh!  It is also called chamomile, which I grow in the west facing areas of my garden. (sorry, I learned about manzinilla from my Indian "friends" growing up. I call it by the native name) The entire plant is medicinal but the flowers are super loaded with flavor. That is the beginning of the name "Little Apple." A tiny bit of chamomile can also offset a few bitters

Sounds like cordial to me. Used to drink that before we got Soda Stream. Kayleigh said we we will probably have to get our flavours online.

Some clothes at the rummage sale and one of the SO's very favorite movies.

"Legends of the Fall"

For those of you that have never seen it.

Brother #1 brings wife to be home to meet father and other 2 brothers before going off to war.

Brother #2 takes up with wife to be after Brother #1 dies in war.

Brother #3 marries wife to be after Brother #2 runs away from the mess.

Wife to be, now wife of #3 still loves #2 and kills herself after he returns.

I think it's one of the stupidest movies ever, but he's happy.
