idea for calendar

could we use the brand-spanking-new calendar feature for a sweepstake?

the task: guess the date on which wrongplanet collapses completely ;D

the person nearest to guessing the correct date wins a night of passion with petermackenzie  :D

Must solve this.  Must solve this.  Must solve this.  Must have Peter.  Doesn't have to be a night of passion, but, it does have to be a night, and, he has to be all mine for that night.

So let's see... given that a day on a message board is like a month in real life, and given that the Third Reich lasted 12 years, and 12 years is 144 months, and that this translates into 144 message board days, I therefore predict that WP will collapse on the 144th day of this year, May 24, 2006, as I'm backdating the problems to on or about January 1, 2006. 

Do I win? ???

I think the ego trip that Alex gets from running such a huge site will mean that its highly unlikely that he'll shut it down anytime soon. And since there seems to be a huge number of people who prefer quantity of posts over quality there is always going to be plently of willing participants.   There are just far too many people who would rather read hundreds of posts of pointless crap than 10-15 well thought out ones.

what we are witnessing ladies ang gentlemen is a very sophisticated smoke and mirrors act.


sure, it looks like its functional, but i would guess that he has no more than double the regular users as OTS. three times more than neurolands. and about 4 times more than us.

his membership totals are a mixture of ghost accounts, one time interest people, just cause of freund and dr phil, tons of banned accounts.

and it seems to me like a large percentage of regular users are NT mummies.  hale bopp seems like the only regular left.

so now that you know the truth i have a question.

in the hayday of WP, was alex ever able to use his clout and get laid?

If hale_bopp doesn't hurry up and jump ship, she might find that hypnotica has taken her place on the food-chain by the time she gets here.  Where's Sean too?  We need people we disagree with more, and not just newbies that'll get slaughtered.

As much as id love them to come here. No chance, they are big fish in a small pond in the trolling stakes. They dont have the balls to post in a site where they dont have special priviliges or a corner in which to hide in.

At first I thought it would be a sucker's bet, but then two things occurred to me.

1. ?He made a lot of money.
2. ?A lot of the guys on WP reccommended repeatedly that guys who were consumed with seuxal frustration hire hookers as a mind-clearer.

However, his mind doesn't seem very clear...
