I would say that WP is mostly agnostic/atheist from reading posts there.    There aren't that many vocal religious people that I notice on that board.   WP has certain limitations to its free speech and a conservative approach makes it easy to express yourself in a way that won't get you banned necessarily.   No cursing and you don't have to resort to outright name calling.    You must ignore the majority of the posters if you think everyone on there is a Christian Fundamentalist.   They do some arguing in the religious threads, but not much beyond that.

I see some in the News and Current Events forum.  JimServo always has to fillibuster anything that calls G.W. Cunt, I mean Bush, into question (speaking of Boy Kings).

JimServo.. ah well all discussions on something need at least one person to disagree for them to continue.   Otherwise all the posts are going to be "har har har bush is ghey".   Then you have the one person who tells everyone that Bush is a puppet and you guys give him too much credit.   The good ol' boy network goes deeper than you think and that is the real problem.   Whatever.

I have read very few of Alex's posts to know anything about him morally.   He does however take time out of his day to do something to help the Asperger's community.  Him being a prude works well for a site that caters to adolescents.   My young cousin just got diagnosed with Asperger's.    I don't talk to him about porn, he is 12 lol.   I wouldn't want him to see Wrong Planet and be overloaded with talk about sex and drugs.  He is a kid and needs somewhere to talk about his problems where he won't be bombed with things like that.   I probably will tell my uncle to not let him go to WP after reading what is posted there lol.

Yeah - I don't have a problem with being prudish about sex/drug talk on  a kid's site either.  My biggest problem is that he supresses talk that is critical of him or the site in any way.  Criticism, if taken correctly, could even help him improve the site.

This is very true.  Anything that could actually help move the site in positive direction should be welcome.   He seems to be doing a decent enough job for the time being.   There is definitely more that can be done for Asperger's and the community of people in the autistic spectrum.

Maybe there should be a password members can set when they access the board to keep their kids out and only registered users can use it and it doesn't let you acess the board until you're 18. Just an idea but then kids can lie about their age by putting in the fake year they were born so that's why the password thing was an idea I had.

That's where I have been putting my B&J threads but lot of them don't like it. One of them thought I was doing it to get myself banned. I don't see how you could get into difficulties if it's true. Calling someone a name is impolite, but everyone draws those lines a different distance from themselves. I did not understand, until this week that MrMark was a mod/admin or what ever he is.

He may have some oppressive ideas, but at least he could bring some structure and consistency to the bannings. Dewey Decimal System of evils, anyone?

The problem really is that the site had evolved to
being pretty loose. He came down with some pretty
tough warnings, which infuriated people. I don't know
that "very little reason" really fits - the end results were
indeed banworthy. But, the whole situation probably could
have been avoided.
