Then decided I wanted somewhere that was kind of in between WP and Intensity, with some of the benefits of both ie. without some of the stupid rules at WP but somewhere where people under 18 can join as well.

I'm hoping we can. We're still trying to work out the exact boundaries now. But, while we don't want a shitload of rules or anything, there will be younger people on there as well, so there needs to be some limits.

I seem to remember you were going with
an age limit of 13. I'm on a commercial
gaming site which manages to have almost
no limits, with members as young as 9 on it.

No censorship, outside of things like clear cases
of hate speech. Seems to work pretty well.

It was already starting to piss me off really, but the Fuck thing was just something that seemed ridiculous to me at the time so I guess that was the final thing that did it for me. Also the fact that, even then, MrMark didn't seem to be giving it out equally - ie. I was PMed about saying shit in threads that were causing a lot of problems for other (more important IMO) reasons. I just got sick of it I guess.

Yeah I think the age thing shouldn't be too much of a problem, right now it's the hosting that's causing some of the problems with rules - we have to stick with their rules as well about things like racism etc. I'm planning on upgrading the hosting at some point, but I don't want to do it too soon incase the site ends up failing after I've spent money on it.
